The next event was sorting, where all four of the gals are on horseback. The announcer calls out the number on the calf that they are to start with. Then the next two consecutive numbers must be herded across the line, as well, in numerical order. That is my gal heading toward the group of calves, intent on picking hers out of the herd.
She's got it spotted, now it is just a matter of getting it away from the others.
She is zeroing in on the poor unsuspecting innocent baby calf, probably scared and crying for it's momma.....
Yahoo, here we go......
"Git on across that line, ya hear?"
The other two were sent packing as quickly as the first.
