Wow!! What a day this has been!! Baby Bean decided that she was ready to be born even though she wasn't due for another six weeks. The hospital in Round Rock doesn't have an NICU unit so they took an ambulance ride to Temple, which is about 30 minutes from Waco, to the Scott & White Hospital there. Charlotte (aka Charley) was born at 9:27 AM, weighing 5 lbs 3.5 oz and 17 inches long. She had a bit of a breathing issue in the beginning so she was put on a ventilator but some time after lunch it was removed. All she has now is the small tubes at her nose called a canula.

Samantha was a real trooper! She looked great after Charlotte was born.
I can hardly wait to hold her. Only mom and dad have gotten to so far.
Samantha is doing so well that she is hoping they will let her go very soon, although if Charley stays for a few days, it will certainly be easier if Samantha can be at the hospital too. Guess we will just have to wait and see.
We are so thankful that the delivery went well and the new grandbaby and her mom and dad are fine.Life is good!!
