Headbands

We went shopping Tuesday after work and Madison had been wanting Aunt Mo's headbands. She picked out a package. The blue headband went to daycare on her head today but I was informed by Madison that it got broken. I think there was a small skirmish with another young lady over it. I was outside watering my plants this afternoon and when I turned around, Madison had been in her room retrieving the remaining headbands. I assume she figures if one is good, then five must be really good.........

This is how she insisted on wearing them the rest of the afternoon.....

It was picture day at daycare today. I thought Madison looked quite sweet in this new tank top and bermuda shorts.

Busy Sunday

Madison looked so cute this morning when she was ready for church. Morgan's idea for the picture of the two of us.......

Later this afternoon, after another romp through the sprinkler, we had a really good watermelon.

A Relaxing Saturday

After the sprinkler, Madison decided to relax on the hammock.

I took a minute to take some pictures of my miniature roses.

Then someone came along to help me get a better look at them........

In The Sprinkler

What is a Texas summer without some time playing in the sprinkler? Madison rode with Papa on the riding mower for a while today and got pretty dirty. We decided that a good way to get clean was to play in the sprinkler. She stripped out of her clothes and had to be convinced to keep her diaper on!!

Spaghetti Night

Madison is such a good eater. We haven't found much that she doesn't like. She will say that she doesn't like it, "I don't like chicken...., I don't like shrimp.....", and then she proceeds to eat it anyway. This night we had spaghetti and true to form, she put it away!!!

Happy Birthday Samantha!!

Daughter in law Samantha's birthday was Saturday. She was on-call and unable to leave town. So I think the party came to them. They had quite a day of baby holding, washer pitching, beer drinking, and shrimp/potato/sausage boiling while we were stuck in Waco with the garage sale. And there was even a fireworks display the night before.

Happy Birthday Marci!!!

Celebrated daughter in law Marci's birthday on Sunday at LaFiesta Restaurant. We all had a great time. I don't even think she minded when the wait staff came out singing to her and made her wear the customary sombrero..........

Garage Sale

We finally had the much needed, much threatened garage sale this past weekend. It was three days of the hardest, hottest work I have done in a long time. We had a good sale, got rid of a lot of junk but still had a lot left over that went to Mission Waco and Goodwill. When we were packing up, Madison found some dress up clothes. I am not sure exactly what she was dressed up for (since this outfit was a nighty) but she was glad to pose for us. She thought she was so stylish. Check out the silver shoes......

Bookworm

I put Madison at the table last night just before dinner was ready and when I came back, this is what she was doing........reading Papa's football referee book with his glasses on!!!

Early morning dew on a spiderweb. These were taken mainly for Brandon so he can be duly impressed with his mom's artsy ability...... : )

We drove on to the school where Papa assisted with the climbing wall.

Let's Go To WalMart

Later on Sunday, we took a trip to WalMart. Madison rode in the back seat of the Tracker, which has the top removed. She enjoyed being "topless" and having the wind blow through her hair....

All she needed was a crown. She was waving to her adoring fans.....

I was just a little slow on this one and missed Papa using his shirt tail to wipe Madison's face before entering the store.......

Pool Time

Madison played in her pool on Sunday afternoon and I let her play with some roll on soap for kids. Aunt Mo helped her get it just right on her face. We thought she would be permanently red when it didn't appear to come off but Aunt Mo took charge and washed it all away. Whew!
