Slow down time....

I got a lump in my throat when I looked at this picture, realizing that the time will go so fast, we will blink and they will be driving away heading to college.... :(

     Jonathan painted me a big ole coffee mug for my birthday at Practically Picasso.....his mom said next time she won't let him choose black as one of his colors....but I still LOVE IT!!!

I got this hand-crank-generated power vehicle from Woot for Greg, figured it would be something he could use in his science class....he and Jonathan put it together, Jonathan insists that the instructions be read which is probably a good thing.....IT WORKS!!!

Gifts

 Got a new holster for my gun.....guess who it came from.......  :)

And a new knife and cutting board from the Dieterich families....and Greg got an awesome new Dewalt cordless drill!!!  He has already used it so couldn't get a picture without going to the garage....thanks guys, we love them!!

Merry Christmas Mr. Kelly.....

 I was anxious to get home on Wednesday to see the interesting gifts that Greg always gets from his students.  This first one was a vanilla type cake that kinda tasted like a cake donut, with glaze, and blue icing with red sprinkles......on a stick.....

 These looked sort of like brownies with white icing and red sprinkles......Greg is a chicken and won't eat any of them....doesn't bother me.....

 A co-worker gave him a photo of all of his fellow partners in crime......

But my favorite by far was this.....and it is self explanatory.....I LOVED IT!!!

He also got coffee mugs/hot chocolate mix, a tie, pencils, candy, etc. but the "jingle bell rock"  was by far the best!!!

Bottle Tree

Back during the late summer, my bottle tree fell and all but about 7 of my bottles broke.  Not only was I disappointed because they were broken, but what a mess in the yard!!  I picked up as many large pieces as I could and then used the shop vac to suck up any small pieces of glass (thankfully it was during the drought and the grass was dead, making it fairly easy to see most of the pieces).  Greg did some modifications on the tree, and set it in concrete.....it isn't going anywhere now!!  Then my quest was to get it filled with various bottles again.  I called on a friend down the street and she provided quite a few, especially the large blue bottles that are on the top.  I began searching for a red wine bottle and finally found one at HEB.  Darn, I had to drink the wine to be able to empty the bottle to put it on the tree!!  Wasn't really good wine but wasn't bad either, and at least I got my red bottle!! 

Love it!!

Gingerbread House

 Charley visited in Robinson this past weekend so she and Jonathan, and Jonathan's mom, built me a gingerbread house.

Poor little Kaylee.....all that decorating put her to sleep.......



It's a Grandson!!

Anderson Alan Dieterich was born this morning, 7 lbs. 13 oz., 21 inches long......Samantha, Brandon, and Charley are doing great!!

Women's Basketball Season Tickets

Woohoo!! Our season tickets came in the mail today!! I am sooooooo excited!!!

It's A Granddaughter!!

Kaylee Jayne Dieterich, born 5 weeks early on October 10, 2011, weighing 5 lbs 9 0z, 19 inches long, by c-section......mom, dad, and baby are doing well......a long, long, long day to say the least....Thank you God for your constant care.....

Baylor wins again!!

I was able to get some tickets to the Baylor/Iowa State game on Saturday night. It was really a nice night.....clouds and windy......we even rode the motorcycle to the game.....
I was also trying out my new lens for the first time....someone took the other zoom lens swimming last summer....

The Baylor band takes the field.....brought back memories of watching Jeremy....

Hi, my name is Paula...and I am addicted to Craigslist...

I have gotten so many toys/bikes/clothes from Craigslist for the grandkids. I really got a good deal today, 15 onsies, 5 long rompers, 12 pjs, sizes 12m to 18m.....for $18!!! All Carters and Gerber brands!! And with three new granddaughters, surely one of them will be able to wear them!!! They have been washed, folded, and are ready to go!!!

Birthdays....

Camdyn Grace Kelly made her appearance this morning, weighing 7 lbs 9 oz, changing everyone's best laid plans for her to be born this Wednesday. Babies just have a way of getting here when they want to.....all is well, we will head out to see her later this evening and get some pictures.

And Camdyn made her appearance on my dad's birthday. I tried to have Brandon on my dad's birthday but it didn't work. Well, I take that back. The castor oil DID work, but it didn't cause Brandon to be born. He came on his own the next week!!! Happy Birthday, Daddy....love and miss you!!!

McGregor Founder's Day

Someone posted on Facebook that they were at the Founder's Day celebration so we decided to head out and see what was going on. Most things were closed up since we went late in the day, a couple of stages had bands playing, but we did have some awesome chicken fried steak at the restaurant in McGregor.
While we were eating, Madison wanted me to take her picture. Last week, we hit the $2 jewelry tables at Spice. She was sporting her new necklace, earrings, and headband....

It had been a long day, didn't take her long to fall asleep once she got a bath and a snack.
